Jean Claude Le Cornec, founder of SDPO, has surrounded himself from the very beginning of his organization with the best specialists for the safety of all.

On the Angkor Ultra Trail, the Cambodian National Olympic Committee is providing medical staff for the event.

There are 10 to 15 volunteers according to the destination, who build together each year, an «amateur» adventure race open to all.
The local organizing team of the host country must be involved. This team is always ready to listen and will be able to meet your expectations.

Founder and organizer of the Foulées de la Soie, Jean Claude Le Cornec is a passionate runner and travel lover.
Former Quality technician at Eurocopter, (AIRBUS helicopter division), he has already dragged his gaiters on the Paris-Gao-Dakar, the crossing of the United States by the famous route 66 (from Chicago to Los Angles), the Marathon des Sables (in the south-Moroccan desert), the Colorado, the Trans Atlas, the Trans Cappadoce…
Jean Claude Le Cornec, after winning the «Route 66» in 1995 with his team, ended his career as an athlete.
Wanting to approach the race from another angle, experience requires (!), he began to think about organizing a race with the complicity of his English friend, Mark KNIGHT.
It is therefore quite natural that, with its structure Sport Development and Performance Organisation (SDPO), he launched for the first time Les Foulées de la Soie in 1996, competition now on the «AVENTURE» racing calendar.

Gregoire PICHENOT ((Timing or Race Director on the Ultra Trail of Angkor))
GregoireGrégoire is an ESIEA engineer and founded PIROG in 2003, a software engineering company where he puts his skills to the service of his clients, within the framework of industrial projects.
If technique is his field of choice, he likes to see his job as an opportunity to meet various people and provide them with solutions that improve their daily lives.
His greatest pride is undoubtedly to meet at random on a street a user of a product in which he participated.
It is because of his taste for challenge and teamwork that he joined SDPO to contribute his contribution to the building, and more particularly in relation to the topics related to computer clocks and rankings.

LINH TUAN LE, Associate Director of PHOENIX Voyages and partner of SDPO

Founding member of PHOENIX Voyages, this outstanding technician in tourism is the direct link with SDPO through racing. Linh Tuan is setting up all his network to obtain the necessary permissions for the race to take place on the archaeological site of Angkor.

From its structure based in Cambodia, all the complex organization and management of such an event is structured through PHOENIX Voyages. Linh Tuan is also setting up the tourist platform around the Angkor Ultra-Trail.

 

 

GERMAIN PICHENOT, Technical manager.

As a construction specialist, Germain has always managed teams where cohesion is a key factor for success. His attachment to SDPO, his sense of entrepreneurship, doing well and his curiosity made it quite natural that he occupies this position as Technical Director.

Computer enthusiast, Germain, complementing the Asian team PHOENIX Voyages and the race director, fine-tunes the courses and ensures the good organization of the event, The logistics, the lighting, the setting up of the race and the safety of the event.

 

Philippe 11Philippe ARMENGAUD, OSTEOPATH and MASSEUR KINESITHERAPEUTE

Osteopath for more than 30 years in the high level sports (FF Athletics, rugby, squash, auto-moto sport) Rugbyman (Castres Olympique, Blagnac SC) it is a certain Guy NOVES then high level athlete who brings him to athletics (junior school champion of France 4x100m, champion of the Pyrenees junior 200m)
He became a federal physiotherapist of the FFA in 1984, which he left in 2000 after a few world championships and European junior and senior. In 1999, Alain Blondel then coach of Heike DRESCHLER offers to follow her to the Olympic Games in Sydney where she will be Olympic champion of long jump. On the other hand, he joins the medical team of Christian Noël (FIDELIA) at the PARIS-DAKAR, the Foulées de la Soie and then the AFRICA ECO RACE.

Christian Noël has long been part of the medical teams of the prestigious Paris fire brigade. Today, this extreme practitioner has been the chief physician of the PARIS DAKAR Rally for years. Combining pre-hospital emergency techniques, this globe-shapedtrotter is as comfortable on the ground as when negotiating with a foreign doctor to ensure the best hospital placement for his patient.

Medical director of FOULÉES DE LA SOIE and all the other events organized by SDPO, he brings, with his skills and impartiality, a valuable contribution to the race director for the elimination of competitors, for medical reasons.

Loyal to the smallest and greatest nature-adventure raids, Alain is «the voice» of more than 20 raids of all kinds (Raid Gauloises, Elf Authentique Aventure, Dakar…). Former satellite radio technician at TDCom, he knows and masters all the means of communication available to adventurers to stay in touch hour after hour. At the head of their fleet of Talkies-walkies and BLU, they listen to the waves during the day so that everyone can transmit and receive vital information for the smooth running of the events. On the finish line, they enter in the ranking software RadioComasat, the performances of each, and thus display within an hour the long-awaited ranking. In the evening, he puts on his third cap: operator of these «a little weird machines» he transmits via satellite, results, images, sounds… and contribute to the life on the net, radio and fax, the race day by day.
