History

SDPO launched its sporting adventure for the first time in August 1996 with the Silk Road Race (the first Raid organized in China on the Silk Road). This was followed by accompanying runners in the Beijing Marathon and the Shanghai Marathon. Over time, the enthusiasm and loyalty of successive participants have allowed for the exploration of other destinations characterized by their history and unique features: all in unprecedented natural settings, as SDPO carefully scouts all its routes, structuring them to avoid common paths as much as possible.

This sustained pace has already captivated thousands of participants and explains the growing success of this race. It is a true sporting adventure, regardless of the chosen country, combining a change of scenery with physical effort.

This original and unique formula allows all competitors to test their physical abilities while keeping a keen and attentive eye on the historical, cultural, and human aspects of the regions they traverse. Participants will run through some of the most prestigious tourist sites on the planet.
